The CNC Setup Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating 5 axis machining centers to produce components that meet customer supplied specifications. Duties include setting up tooling packages, modular and custom work holding and fixturing, setting tool lengths, machine offsets and probing. Collaborates with programming and quality assurance teams to ensure successful production of a compliant first article part and uphold 100% quality standards throughout production runs. • At least 5 years of experience setting up and operating CNC Machining Centers, including configuring complex tooling and work-holding solutions. • Proficiency with Fanuc controls is required; experience with Siemens, Heidenhain, or Mazatrol is a strong plus. • Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). • Skilled in using precision inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, pin gages and thread gages.
